How to Identify Your Body Type

To determine your body type, first things first, you'll need a measuring tape. Then you might want to ensure your clothes are thin or if you want to do it properly, that you are on your underwear, then you will need to start by measuring and taking notes of your shoulders, bust, waist, and hips measurements, then compare yours to below:

  • Rectangle: Similar measurements for shoulders, bust, and hips, with little waist definition.
  • Triangle: Hips wider than shoulders.
  • Inverted Triangle: Shoulders wider than hips.
  • Hourglass: Similar measurements for shoulders and hips, with a defined waist.
  • Round: Fuller midsection with narrower hips.

Bikinis and One-Piece Swimwear Trends to Watch in 2024

As we quickly fly through 2024, certain swimwear trends are emerging and they might be here to stay. Keep a keen eye out for these trends when updating your swimwear wardrobe:

  • Sustainable Fabrics: Eco-friendly swimwear made from recycled materials (such as from Econyl, Renewcell and Vita), is gaining popularity. These sustainable options not only look good but also contribute to a healthier planet.
  • Bold and Bright Colors: Vibrant hues and neon shades are set to dominate the swimwear scene. These colors are great for adding visual interest and enhancing your natural shape. Look out for animal prints, such as the Zebra print! This trend dominated the catwalks.
  • Retro-Inspired Designs: Vintage and 90's styles like high-waisted bottoms, contrasting binds and crimped fabrics are making a comeback. These designs are flattering for most body shapes as they add structure and definition.
  • Mix and Match: The trend of mixing and matching different tops and bottoms allows for greater personalization. This is ideal for creating a balanced look that suits your individual proportions.
  • Minimalist Aesthetics: Clean lines and simple designs are also trending, offering a sophisticated and elegant look. Simple, timeless designs are trending but also with contrasting details, which gives these minimalist designs a bit of fun.
  • One-Piece Swimsuits: In high demand, one-piece bathing suits are more stylish than ever before, with strapless styles, high leg cut designs and incredible colourful patterns to choose from.
